So support lately has been amazing! We've sold quite a few paintings and the response to our support letters is overwhelming. I wish I could express my gratitude, but right now it's so huge that it can't work its way out yet. But for now...thank you.
Sorry this is so short, but I'm tired. And who even reads this anyway? :)
Love, Kaitlin

I Never Want to Let You Down. Forgive Me If I Slip Away.
I am house-sitting this weekend for the worship pastor at my church. So that means I have a house. And dogs. I love houses and dogs. Almost makes me want to get married...almost. Anyway, it's fun. But they also have a plant and I have a losing record with plants. I'm looking into where to buy the type of plant they have just in case I kill it.

You see this canvas? Well, I call it "To Be Determined". I have been staring at it for weeks because I can't figure out what to put on the awesome background I painted at 3am. HELP! Any suggestions will be seriously considered.
Africa Update: There really is nothing to update. The fundraising is going pretty well. I'm not exactly sure how much I have so far because people have been sending checks to the church for tax purposes and they haven't given me any details. But I saw a lot of envelopes in the Missions mailbox that had my handwriting...and we might do a babysitting thing...a few possibilities. But unfortunately nothing is set in stone yet. I hear patience is good to have, a virtue or something, so I'm working on it. But when I imagine myself diving into something, I see a little more action. I hope I didn't bellyflop...
And I still haven't gotten my passport. But it's okay...I applied about a week later than Rachel, so I won't start getting nervous just yet.

caffeine...schmaffeine
Rachel got her passport the other day!! Yay! Soooo thankful that acquiring one of those bad boys wasn't as stressful as some travelers are finding it to be. Hopefully mine comes soon...
We're still trying to figure out more fundraisers, but for now we're still doing the artwork. I fixed the comment part so now you don't have to log in to leave one.
Love love,
Kaitlin
ps: explanation of the title of this entry--after a six day headache from giving up caffeine, well...I still have a headache. But it's not as bad...

don't speak unless you will improve the silence
So, I am going to Africa. Me and my roommate, actually. We're going on a missions trip to Uganda, working with children in orphanages and slums throughout the capital city of Kampala. It's going to be an incredible experience. Hard--really hard...but incredible.
There are so many people who have already offered their support. My family and friends are absolutely amazing! So thank you SO MUCH for that!! You have no idea what it means to me...
I, myself, am trying to raise $3200 to get there. That's a lot of money. So in order to do that, my roommate (Rachel) and I are selling artwork.
The painting on this post is 9" x 12" on canvas. More to come later...
Peace. (haha...thug Kaitlin)
